As a small business I have faced many challenges under covid19, and thank my customers for their support and loyalty. Shortly I am pleased to announce, the first Plantjunkie shop will open :) Watch this space.
09th April 2020
As a small internet business Plant Junkie is still able to operate at this time.
However this will be at a limited capacity, due to the Government restrictions and childcare obligations.
There may be a delay in processing your orders.
NEW STOCK - I have lots of new stock and will be adding it over the course of the day.
After dispatch in my experience there is currently a delay of approximately one day in receiving goods delivered via Royal Mail 1st class.
There will be no dispatches until 14th April, due to the Easter bank holidays affecting the postal service.
Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.
Your custom is greatly appreciated.
17th March 2020
Due to a high volume of messages I have decided to release this statement.
Firstly I would like to thank you for your support at this time, as a small business your continued custom is graciously appreciated.
At this time, I and those around me, are thankfully, fit and healthy. As an online business Plantjunkie, up to now, is able to operate as usual.
I have extended my official handling times on eBay as a precaution, just to allow for any rapid changes that may occur in the future. At present items are still being dispatched within my usual time frames, and no current or future orders will be affected at this time. If anything changes I will update my customers as a priority.
Sadly, due to my many of my suppliers mainly sourcing from Dutch growers, an industry that has been hit particularly hard at this time (https://www.nytimes.com/…/15reuters-health-coronavirus-neth…), border closures and transport delays mean any planned stock deliveries can not be fulfilled, and no future deliveries can be arranged at this time, something I unfortunately do not foresee changing any time soon.
I do still have a wide range of plants available to purchase, until the stock is depleted from both my webshop and my eBay. Beyond this point things are uncertain.
Currently there are no expected delays with the Royal Mail service and you can view their updates at:
Public Health England (PHE) advise that people are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus by receiving parcels.
Despite this please be assured I am still following NHS and Government guidelines, to ensure good hygiene and I am avoiding all unnecessary contact with others.
Should there be a sudden change that affects the way I operate, then any customers with outstanding orders will be informed, and I would like to reassure you that in such an instance cancellation and a full refund will always remain an option.
My thoughts are with the Dutch Grower industry and any businesses that are being hit hard with this outbreak.
More importantly my heart goes out to anyone suffering loss, or illness.
I hope this will be a terrible situation short lived and that as a country we can pull through and pull together.
